“Gott segne unsre Fluren“, a long term photography project initiated in 2022, documents the daily life on a Demeter dairy farm in the Allgäu. The cultural and ecological significance of dairy farming in the Allgäu is very strong, public awareness of contemporary farming realities on the other hand is very limited even though it has a big impact on the regions landscapes, traditions and daily life.

“Gott segne unsre Fluren“—“God bless our meadows“, a traditional expression asking for divine blessing and fertility for farmland. Many wayside crosses in the Allgäu region bear this phrase.
